Artist Statement

Through my work, I try to create situations that make us relate to the troubled ecologies of our time. Within those complicated zones, thinking in dichotomies, such as the nature/culture split, becomes impossible, forcing us to acknowledge a dense and entangled environment. It is in those environments, that I situate my work in.

My practice explores the tension between landscape, human and non-human actors. I specifically fabulate about folklore in relation to gender and ecology narratives. Thereby, I am deeply influenced by theoretical discourse, conducting embodied research through my practice. My installations, arising from that embodied research, are not a presentation of results, but open up a space of reflecting and thinking with the audience.
